Less than an hour to go before the petrol and diesel price make a big leap,
petrol price will jump to 40& from RM1.92/litter to RM 2.70/litter, and diesel will increase RM1.00 to RM2.50/litter. Wow!!
Still, this price is still does not fully reflect the market price for petrol as the government still implementing control on the oil price but our oil price will be allowed to float with the market starting August and that will certainly injured consumer more as petrol price will probably rise to RM 3-4.00 per litter.
Our CPI (Consumer Price Index) is expecting to rise to 5% this year.
The increase of oil price will certainly have negative impact on the inflation rate that was 3% that came in last April, although 3% is still below average but the future does not look good on this. It is said that the government will implement a direct-cash subsidize, for cars 2000cc and below, they will receive RM 625 cash payment as a direct-subsidy. How and when are the government to implement the subsidy, we'll just have to wait and see.
Later on July this year, the price of electricity is expect to rise as well, putting even more burden on consumers
Damn it,this will certainly increase our cost of living. What we heard the most recently is the price of everything is increasing, EVERTHING except the salary. Pathetic that is.
I was among those who queued for a refuel before the rise of price hit. I've never seen gas station so crowded before!! People are queueing up for petrol and diesel all over nation. I queued for almost half an hour before it was my turn.
Why aint Malaysians protesting??
People will certainly suffer more especially those low income units.
but let's not forget we are one of the most heavily subsidize country in the region, our oil price is among the lowest in the region at this moment.
But if this inflation continues, people will be spending less and causing lack of money in the market, our economy will slow down. Let's hope there won't be another economy crisis.
